Well all of our babies are gone, Roxy has found a great home and she will be close to the family so we will be able to see her often as she grows up. So once again it's just Jackson and I. I am having some trouble with missing Roxy, she and I were great play buddies, and now I have no one to ruff house with, Jackson is a stick in the mud now, I guess he is resting now that all kids are gone. Anyway, the weather is yucky and cold, so we spend alot of time inside. Christmas is comming and we will be taking pics to send out to all who have one of our babies. So I will leave for now, but will be comming back to keep up with whats going on at the Bayou.

Well, our little girl Roxie is still with us, she is such a delight, so happy all the time, loves to play outside, even in the cold and snow. But then she really likes that heater inside too. She is well on her way to being house trained to go outside, nights sometimes give her problems. She knows her bed and sleeps like a big girl on her own, and then sometimes she gets a treat and gets to sleep in the big bed with all of us. This gets very tight, but we all enjoy it, the snuggling together. Roxie is mild mannered and loving like her mother, and playful and eager to learn new things like sit, shake, no, outside etc., this she gets from her dad.
She will make someone a great and loyal dog, and we still believe that just the right family will come along soon. She needs one that is loving and active, I think children would love her and she them.
Roxie has special parents and a special home out there waiting for her.

All is well, Thanksgiving was great, TNiney has gone to live in New Orleans with Bo and Shelia, and Roxy is still here with us. We are still believing that just the right home is going to come up for her, but till then she will stay with us. She is becoming a great Bayou Pup, has a real love for the water. She loves to explore, and stays outside most all of the day, she has allso found her spot in the bed at night with the rest of us. Our bed is getting smaller and Papa Barry is thinking of sleeping in the spare bedroom and leaving the bed for Mama Teri, Jackson, Roxy and myself. We will see. The weather is turning cool, esp at night, and we all love sitting by the fire in the evenings and watching the sun set.

Took TNiney to the Docs today and she got her big girl shots and she is healthy and growing, they allso told us that she like her sister Tumblelina from the first batch of babies have what is called, Cerebellar Hypoplasia, and that even tho there is no cure for it, they can grow to be healthy adult dogs. They are special and just need very special owners who can give them homes that will be safe and loving.
Our little Roxy is allso still with us, seems that maybe she might be sticking around, she seems to really like living on the Bayou, she has her water legs allready, and Papa Barry likes having her around, hanging out. Even old grummpy Jackson is comming around. So who knows,
Allways something happenin on the Bayou.

Everything is great here we are looking forward to fall sitting by a fire and relaxing. We still have our little TNiney for now, but she will going to live with Bo and Shelia in a few weeks. Mama Teri says that will be a good home for her, she will be in a safe home.

Papa Barry put up a new fence and now we can run and play without getting in the water, we are allso learning to go up and down steps. We have a big basket that is full of toys and there is allways something new to play with, one of the best is an empty blastic bottle, now that's fun. We are growing up fast and it's still just me and my sister here, but we know that just the right owner is going to come for us, until then we will stay right here with mama and papa and Mama Teri and Papa Barry.

Sunday, November 1, 2009

Well we have two babies still with us, both are becomming very spoiled, mama Teri has named them, the black and silver we call her Roxy Foxy, she is very high spirited and playful, she would love a home with some children, the little chocolate girl is more layed back and calm but both are very loving. Papa Barry is allready starting to teach them to sit and shake. It's going very well. They are loving the yard esp the water, don't know why but they just love to go to the water. Mama Teri is trying to house train and that is a slow go.
But all in all we are one big happy family, and we know that soon just the right home is going to come up for our two girls.

The two girls left are growing up fast and we are believing for new owners for them too. Mama Teri and Papa Barry are allready giving them new names, the little black and white they call Foxy Roxy, she is high spirited, the little brown and black they call Cookie, she is more mild mannered, but both are two sweet.
Fall weather is here and Jackson and I are glad, we really like this kind of weather.

Yes it does have water in it, just a little, didn't want to scare the buggers.

The past two days here has been really hot and humid so mama Teri thought she would give the babies some water fun, as you can see they had a ball once they got the hang of getting in and out. Talk about cool you off. At least they will not be afraid of water when they grow up.
Enjoy the pics

Our babies spent their first night out on the screen porch in their new puppy box that Papa Barry built for them, it has a light in it to help keep them warm and mama Teri put plenty of blankets in there for them to sleep on. They are growing to fast, soon they will be leaving us to go to their new homes and we will all be sad to see them go but glad to know they have found new loving homes.
They are really having a good old time on the porch, lots of room to run and hide and play. I enjoy sitting in my chair and watching them, even Jackson is getting in on the fun.
Gonna go for now, enjoy the new pics.

Things are great, I am injoying the puppies on the screen porch, it gives me lots of room to play with them and for them to run around. They are growing so fast. Mama Teri spends alot of time with them, she says she is working on their social skills, she is allso trying to paper train them, but that is not going to well. Jackson spends some time out on the porch with me, he just sits in the chair and watches, they can't get to him there. So much for a man helping out, but we love him anyway.
So here are a few new pics, enjoy

Everything is going well, the babies are growing fast. They are all over the place. We are all having a great time with them. They got their first bath last Friday, and mama Teri has started them on puppy mush. They love it and it really gives me a break. Nursing seven babies at the same time takes a toll on a gal.
Mama Teri has allready put out adds for our babies and we are excited about finding good loving homes for each of them.
The weather has finally turned alittle cooler and the puppies have been enjoying being out on the screen porch, lots of running room and papa Barry has made them a very special puppy box with a light in it for sleeping.
So, gonna go for now and post a few new pics for all, and will be adding more again soon.

Well everything is moving along here! The babies are growing fast, and we all are enjoying them. They are so much fun to watch! They are beginning to bark and growl, and it is the cutest thing to hear. They are all healthy and fat, and we will be posting new pics again soon. But we thought, in the meantime, we would share a few pics of our home here on the bayou and hope you enjoy. There is always something new to see and here, and we really enjoy watching the wildlife. This is a great place to live and to raise puppies!

Tuesday, September 8, 2009

Yesterday the new babies made two weeks! All their eyes are open, and they are as fat and healthy as they can be. Everything is going very well! Today, mama Teri put them out onto the floor, and she and I played with them for a little. They are just beginning to try to play with each other. Mama Teri talks to them a lot so they get used to hearing and smelling her. In the next few weeks things are going to get lively around here! Pretty soon they will be running around everywhere, and that's when I really love to play with them. I am really enjoying my new puppy room, and I know the puppies will like it too. Mama Teri has music playing for them all the time; sometimes its classical and sometimes its jazz and blues. It's quite nice really, very comforting for me and the babies.
Hope everyone keeping up with us here on the bayou enjoys the new pics. We will be back next week.

Ok Guys, it's been a week now and the puppies and I are getting into a nice routine, they and myself are doing great, we all made a trip to the vet with them on Friday to have their tails docked and dew claws removed, it was their first family outing.
We have seven beautiful babies, five girls and two boys. I am enjoying them so much, I really love being a mama, I love my babies. Jackson is doing better this time around, he was even there with me during the birth. Mama Teri has allready begun the process of advertising for new homes for our babies, and I know she will find just the right ones with loving parents for each of them.
So enjoy the new babies, we will be posting new pics often.

New Babies on the Bayou

Friday, August 21, 2009

Well, today mama Teri took me to get x-rays on my tummy, and it looks like we can get ready to have 8 new little babies this week-end. Yes you heard me, again 8 babies. I am doing very well and I am very healthy says Mrs Dana my vet doctor. I really enjoy going to see her and Mrs Kim and all the rest of the ladies in the office. They really make a fuss over Jackson and I, and really enjoy our babies. So for all out there that have been following saga of Life on the Bayou, with Jackson and I our home is about to expand again.
Mama Teri has been working really hard to see that Jackson and I are healthy, she has been making our own doggie treats. they are all organic and very tasty, we are even learning to eat our veggies.
Well, gonna go for now, and maybe just maybe tonight will be the magic night.

Lots of love

Hey everyone, only two weeks to go, and let me tell you I am ready to have these babies. Don't have to much energy these days, do alot of laying around, I quess the heat doesn't help either. Jackson wants to play sometimes and I just can't muster the same feelings. I go next Friday for an ultra-sound, Mama Teri says that's a good thing for me to do, it lets her know how many puppies to expect, that way if something goes wrong she will know.
Well, other than that there is not much new news to tell, we are all just waiting for the day when we have new babies in the house. The new puppie room is all ready. So gonna go for now, and will be back intouch soon.

Wednesday, August 5, 2009

Just wanted to put in some new pics of Jackson and I, things are moving slowing for me these days, just waiting, although we did go out in the boat the other evening, and mama Teri took some really good shots of us and the sun going down. We were just chillin out there on the water. Other than that things are doing well for me during this time, just been lazy because of the heat.
If we are not on the couch then we are in the bed, Papa Barry says we need a bigger bed because the one we have now isn't big enough for the four of us, but then Jackson and I don't seem to have any problems stretching out, as you can tell by the pics.
Mama Teri has been working on the new puppy room, it's going to be nice to have a space just for me and my babies, one that is big enough for them to grow in.
I really can't wait to have these babies and to watch them grow up and to begin to play with them, I really love to play with my babies.
Well, anyway I'll get this posted and I'll be back in a few days with some new news.
